A STORY OF TRANSFORMATION

BEFORE

From a Classic Space to a Modern Farmhouse Sanctuary

Renovating a home is not just about changing paint and furniture; it is about rediscovering the soul of a space. It is the act of taking a bond from a previous life, renewing it, and presenting it once again. Instead of completely tearing down the bridge between the old and the new, we should save it. Today, we are taking you on a true “before-and-after” journey of how traditional lines meet modern aesthetics. Here is the story of the great transformation of our home and our journey to achieving Modern Farmhouse elegance.

AFTER

Defining the Vision: From Dark to Bright

When we began the renovation process, our primary goal was to combine luxury and comfort without overwhelming the space. We decided to blend the geometric discipline of Art Deco with the warmth of Farmhouse style. The “must-have” for a small home is to maintain warmth while keeping the area feeling expansive.

  • The First Step

We started by clearing out unnecessary partitions and heavy decor that cramped the space.

  • Light-Oriented Design

By renewing the windows with massive black metal frames, we made the outdoor scenery an integral part of the home.

Architectural Character: Fireplace and Ceiling Details

When designing the living roomโ€”the heart of the homeโ€”we had to choose a “focal point.” While selecting these points, we prioritized maintaining focus without creating distractions.

  • A Touch of White Brick

We updated the old, heavy fireplace structure with a modern white brick cladding. This added texture to the space while creating a bright, clean backdrop.

  • The Power of Wooden Beams

The solid wooden beams we added to the ceiling became the most crucial detail, providing that “lived-in” feel. We balanced modern lines with rustic warmth.

Color Palette and Texture Selection

We replaced the vague colors of the “before” state with a neutral and sophisticated palette for the “after” phase. By softening the old and harsh atmosphere, we made it more livable.

  • Neutral Tones

We maximized spaciousness by using pure white on the walls and light gray tones for the furniture.

  • The Power of Contrast

With black window frames and lighting fixtures, we created sharp and chic lines within the white canvas.

Smart Layout and Final Touches

In our furniture placement, we adopted the “less is more” philosophy. We believed that having less would touch your soul more deeply.

  • Symmetry

By placing sofas on either side of the fireplace, we applied the symmetry rule of Art Deco.

  • Organic Living

With large-leafed plants placed in the corners, we introduced the softness of nature amidst the geometric lines.

The Dream Home is Now a Reality

This renovation process has shown us that with the right planning and a few bold touches, any space can be transformed into a work of art. Our home is no longer just a structure; it is a breathing sanctuary that carries the nostalgia of the past and the modernity of the future. We concluded this design with the hope that it matches the one in your dreams. What would you prioritize while renovating your own space?

What is the must-have detail in your own โ€œminimalist cabinโ€ concept? Is it the large windows, or the natural wood textures?
