THE GRAND TRANSFORMATION OF AN OLD LOG CABIN

A Modern Sanctuary in the Heart of Nature
We have transformed an abandoned, dusty, and time-worn old log cabin into a luxury nature retreat by blending it with the comfort of modern architecture. Here are the details of this breathtaking before-and-after journey that elevates comfort to the highest level without erasing the rustic traces of the past.

Exterior and Entrance: A Modern Touch Blending with Nature
- Before
The exterior featured darkened wooden walls weathered by years of neglect, an unmaintained environment overgrown with wild weeds, and the overall look of a basic shelter.
- After
The exterior of the cabin was completely modernized with a sleek, steeply pitched metal roof. A spacious wooden deck was added to extend the outdoor living space. Comfortable lounge chairs and a pathway paved with natural stone flags transformed the structure into a high-end mountain villa.

Living Area: Glass Facades Inviting the View Inside
- Before
The space was a deserted room covered in cobwebs, featuring small, dark windows and an old, cracked fireplace.
- After
The small, dirty windows were replaced by massive, floor-to-ceiling modern glass facades. Thanks to a cream-colored modern leather sofa, minimalist wooden details, and a renovated contemporary fireplace corner, the forest scenery has become a living part of the living room.

Kitchen: Premium Comfort in a Nostalgic Texture
- Before
The room was completely unusable, consisting of an old cast-iron cookstove, rusted metal kitchen utensils, and decaying wooden countertops.
- After
Rich, dark wooden cabinets and solid live-edge countertops were custom-designed to match the cabinโs soul. A professional kitchen space was created using a hammered copper sink and a modern built-in cooktop and oven system. Wide windows above the counter turn preparing meals into a true pleasure.

Bedroom: A Night Under the Stars
- Before
The loft featured an old iron bed frame and debris left among cobwebs under the sloping wooden ceiling.
- After
The room is now flooded with natural light thanks to a massive skylight integrated into the sloped roof. A minimalist and peaceful sleeping space was achieved with a modern black metal bed frame, linen-textured soft bedding, and a natural tree-log nightstand.

Bathroom: The Luxury of a Brass Tub with a Forest View
- Before
This part of the house was completely derelict and in ruins.
- After
The original log wall structure was preserved, while the floor was paved with elegant, dark charcoal tiles. To give the bathroom a luxury hotel concept, a freestanding bathtub with an anthracite exterior and a polished brass interior was installed. The gold-toned shower fixtures and a round gold-framed mirror create a perfect contrast with the raw wooden walls.

The Chicest Way to Escape into Nature
This transformation project proves that with the right vision and planning, even the oldest, most dilapidated structures can turn into modern works of art. While keeping the rustic warmth of the past at its heart, this cabin offers the pinnacle of todayโs modern comfort.
What is the must-have detail in your own โminimalist cabinโ concept? Is it the large windows, or the natural wood textures?
