THE REBIRTH OF SPACE

BEFORE

A Journey from Classic Roots to Modern Farmhouse Sanctuary

Renovating a home is far more than just changing paint colors or furniture; it is the art of rediscovering a space’s true soul. This process is about carefully mending a bond pulled from a previous life and presenting it to you once again. In other words, it is about building a bridge between the past and the present. Instead of completely tearing down the bridges to the past, we believe in the power of saving and strengthening them. Today, we invite you to a genuine “before-and-after” discovery where traditional heritage meets modern aesthetics. Here is the story of our homeโ€™s grand journey from classic to modern.

AFTER

Defining the Vision: From Darkness to Luminosity

At the dawn of our renovation journey, our primary goal was to merge luxury and comfort without overwhelming the space. We decided to harmonize the geometric discipline of Art Deco with the rustic warmth of Farmhouse style. The greatest secret of a small home is maintaining an intimate, inviting atmosphere while maximizing the sense of spaciousness. We must never forget that comfort is what ensures the continuity of an inviting atmosphere.

  • The First Stage

We began by clearing out unnecessary partitions and heavy decor that obstructed light and flow. Having natural light inside the home will make you feel the presence of most details you wish to capture.

  • Light-Centric Design

By using massive black metal-framed windows, we made the outdoor scenery a living part of the interior. You wonโ€™t need to go outside to catch your breath; the large windows within the home will provide a beautiful sanctuary for you.

Architectural Character: Fireplace and Ceiling Craftsmanship

While designing the living roomโ€”the heart of the homeโ€”it was essential to choose a “focal point” that anchors the space without causing distraction. We ensured these points balanced the room without creating visual clutter, prioritizing the idea that small touches should remain within an eternal sense of durability.

  • The White Brick Signature

We transformed the old and cumbersome fireplace structure into a modern design with white brick cladding. This touch provided the space with both a rich texture and a luminous backdrop.

  • The Power of Wooden Beams

The solid wooden beams we added to the ceiling were the most critical detail, offering that sought-after “lived-in” feeling. We balanced our modern lines with a rustic warmth that has roots.

Curating the Palette: Sophisticated Textures

We replaced the vague and dated colors of the “before” state with a neutral and sophisticated palette in the “after” phase. By softening the old, harsh atmosphere, we transformed the space into a truly livable home.

  • Neutral Dominance

We reached the pinnacle of freshness by using pure white on the walls and soft gray tones for the furniture. We made sure that the color tones provided a sense of equality.

  • The Power of Contrast

With black window frames and industrial lighting fixtures, we created sharp and stylish silhouettes against the white canvas.

Strategic Layout and Final Touches

We embraced the “less is more” philosophy in our furniture arrangement. We believe that a space liberated from clutter touches the soul much more deeply. Simplicity lies at the foundation of small homes. Therefore, during the renovation phase, what matters is the wonderful integrity formed within that “lessness.”

  • Symmetry and Balance

By placing sofas facing each other on either side of the fireplace, we remained faithful to the indispensable symmetry rule of Art Deco.

  • Organic Elements

Large-leafed plants placed in the corners broke the rigidity of geometric lines, infusing the home with natureโ€™s effortless softness.

A Breathing Sanctuary

This journey has proven to us that with meticulous planning and a few bold choices, any structure can be transformed into a work of art. Our home is no longer just a building consisting of four walls; it is a breathing sanctuary that bridges the nostalgia of yesterday with the modernity of tomorrow. We hope this design inspires you as much as it has fulfilled our dreams. What would you prioritize when breathing new life into your own space?

What is the must-have detail in your own โ€œminimalist cabinโ€ concept? Is it the large windows, or the natural wood textures?
